“It's a long way to diagnosis” – shortening the time until a reliable initial diagnosis is made is crucial for the patients future quality of life on the one hand and for the success of follow-up treatment on the other. Delphi Optics has set itself the target of developing innovative, cost-effective systems that provide a significant contribution to the objective examination of wounds.
The newly developed diagnostic system uses the specific reflection, absorption and scattering of light in four defined narrow spectral regions depending on the depth of burn. The relevant changes in response to the burn depth are evaluated by the proprietary analysing software BurnAlyzer and the results are shown in color-coded pictures. The multispectral CS CAM.burn, together with the software BurnAlyzer, represents a unique device for the safe and objective diagnosis of skin burns and allows reproducible, optimized treatment to take place at an early stage.
The multispectral imaging-recording technique in conjunction with the specially developed innovative intelligent data-processing method offers the potential for solutions in the diagnosis of different kinds of problematic wounds.
